Handicapped :(

Damn guys, im injured :(
Remember how i went for that two mile run? well i woke up this morning with a bad very stiff leg...turns out wearing the wrong shoes can seriously cause harm to yourself
yesterday i couldn't find my running shoes so i substituted them for some cheap old vans i had like these

With hardly any cushion compared to my running shoes its no surprise that slamming my feet on hard concrete for 2 miles resulted in an injured knee :( now i cant bend it without it hurting...
im going to rest tomarrow and see how it is Tuesday because i want to continue my progress
D:

so lesson of the day grab yourself some good Running shoes or Nikes that have support. i have never ran in vans before and NEVER had an injury like this. being young at the age of 19, no one is invincible

  23. Oh yeah, if you're wearing the wrong shoes, you could do some damage. You also have to always remember to warm up and cool down.

  27. Brutal man, hope you recover soon. Running can be so hard on the joints, especially with the wrong footwear. Now you can get to losing weight (the real lazy way) haha

  29. Ahwell, tough lesson learnt! Hope you get better soon

  30. Also, if you can avoid it, try running on grass. Concrete is horrible for your joints (ankles and knees). take care of your bodies guys.

  34. I knew shoes like that couldn't be good for you when doing physical activity. I told the emo guys in my gym class that, but they just laughed at me.

  35. You're not losing weight "the lazy way". Running is hard work. Get well soon.

  38. One suggestion. Go to a specialty running store and get fitted for running shoes. They will cost a little more but they will be well worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Nooooo never go out running wearing things like what are in the pic. You will end up in a bad way lol.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ooh that must hurt. I've had the same thing but I didn't forget, I'm just too cheap to buy proper running shoes!

    ReplyDelete
  41. That sucks man. I recommend Kobe VI's. They are the best shoes I have ever owned.

    ReplyDelete
  42. good luck man hope you get on your feet soon!

  45. Sucks man, I know how you feel. I am on the heavy side and the day after snowboarding feels like crap.

    ReplyDelete
  46. do yourself a favor and get a pair of Mizuno running shoes. they're WAY better than Nikes. luckily you're only 19 and will probably be fine. i'm 30 and if i did that i would probably end up in the hospital.

  47. It was probably more to do with the way you run that injured your knee. A lot of people have run in canvas shoes, which are similar to these and not hurt themselves at all.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It's a good idea to invest money in good athletic shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Running flat footed hurts...=[ ouch. Sorry man.
